AN AUTUMN SPECTACULAR IN BEAVER CREEK
Put Hike, Wine and Dine for Jack’s Place on your summer calendar every year!
This is a fundraiser that will get you outside hiking among the golden aspen trees on Beaver Creek ski mountain in September. Along the way there are food stations that serve up tastes of food good enough to serve in the fine dining restaurants providing them. Like the carrot dangling on a stick, it serves as a great motivator to make it to the next serving location on a four mile traverse. Grouse Mountain Grill’s talented culinary team led by Executive Chef, David Gutowski, served up some Dim Sum-like Steamed Buns flavored with caraway and filled with slices of warm house made Short Rib Pastrami, sweet and sour cucumbers and spicy ramp mustard. Pure heaven! When the event first began, about four years ago, chocolate chip cookies were meant to provide the children with something they would love. Now Pastry Chef, Jessica Anderson, makes 425 cookies because, who does not want one of the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever taste?
Jack’s Place is in Edwards and serves as a housing facility for those and their families undergoing cancer treatment at Shaw Medical Center.
